WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Wilmington police officials have confirmed shots were fired on Friday around the 2800 block of Vance Street.

According to police, a neighbor heard gunshots around 3:30 a.m.

Shell casings were found as well as a car damaged by gunfire.

The incident is under investigation and no suspects have been identified.
