WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Wilmington Fire Department says that its crews helped save two dogs from a structure fire on Saturday.

A WFD representative says the fire took place shortly before 2 p.m. on S. Moorings Drive.

“Over the weekend, C Shift responded to a structure fire that was contained in the garage thanks to the firefighters’ quick action,” a WFD announcement states.

The WFD says the fire marshals ruled the fire accidental, and that nobody was injured.
