Mindful Movement Yoga Class

May 9, 2020 By Adrian Gerth

Mindful movement class follows hatha style yoga practices (slower paced with time spent in the form) and breathing practices. Classes are therapeutic, trauma sensitive and accessible for everyone. Mindful movement yoga classes are focused on practicing yoga as a way to notice what we feel in our body and to practice making choices about what to do with our body based on what we notice.

The class is set up so students are in control over what they are doing with their bodies at all times. The teacher is there to provide safe, professional guidance and to help students focus on particular dynamics (what muscles they are using, what it feels like to move their muscles, etc.). There are NO hands-on, physical assists.

No prior yoga experience is necessary. Chairs are available as well as yoga mats. Please wear comfortable, loose clothing. Participants are welcome to bring their own yoga mats. Chairs available as option.
