NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Several outreach events are planned in New Hanover County to outline voting options, assist residents in registering and help those who need to obtain a photo ID for voting, according to the county.
“Along with details about polling locations, registration, absentee ballots and early voting, individuals who need to receive a NC Voter Photo ID will be able to review eligibility requirements and complete the necessary paperwork, with many receiving an ID the same day,” New Hanover County states.
Outreach sessions will be held:
- Monday, July 1 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
- Senior Resource Center’s satellite location at Castle Hayne Baptist Church, 4544 Parmele Road
- Thursday, July 11 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
- Senior Resource Center, 2222 S. College Road
- Thursday, July 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- YWCA Lower Cape Fear, 2815 College Road
- Thursday, July 25 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
- Senior Resource Center’s satellite location in Carolina Beach, 308 Cape Fear Blvd.
- Wednesday, Aug. 7 from noon to 2 p.m.
- Downtown Public Library, 201 Chestnut St.
A Voter Photo ID seminar will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the Northwest Public Library, 1241 Military Cutoff Road.
