Two arrested, six wanted after about 400 aluminum cast spools go missing

BLADEN COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Two have been arrested and six are still wanted in connection to the disappearance of about 400 aluminum cast spools in January, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.

The cast spools are used for shipping yarn, and the cost to manufacture each spool is $500-$5,000 depending on the size and weight, according to a spokesperson from the affected company, Warp.

“Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division began their investigation and was able to locate large amounts of aluminum being sold at a local scrap yard. Through video surveillance, multiple suspects were identified. This is still an open investigation and additional charges are expected,” a BCSO announcement states.

Dominic Tyquan Shipman and Jeremy Octavia Johnson were both arrested and charged with felony larceny.

The following people are still wanted:

  • Jessica Nichole Pace: felony conspire to commit larceny
  • Jordan Blake Hester: felony larceny
  • Charles Edward Clarida: felony larceny
  • Shawquana Lakedeya Ripley: felony conspire commit larceny
  • Andrew Maurice Mceachin: felony larceny
  • Austin Tanner Blackwell: felony larceny, felony conspire commit larceny
