SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – The Traveling 9/11 Never Forget Memorial is making a stop at Southport and is setting up on Nash Street at the downtown fire station on Friday, June 28.
The escort will start at Hwy 87 & 17 and travel south on Hwy 87 into town at 3 p.m.
The memorial exhibit will be escorted by first responders. Anyone who wants to watch from Howe Street can park or stand around 3:30 p.m. to await arrival.
Police advise to not block or impede the flow of traffic, as there will be no lane closures.
