Town invites public to take part in Burgaw Fourth of July parade

BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) – The Town of Burgaw is inviting the public to its Fourth of July parade at 10 a.m. on July 4.

There will also be free popsicles and water spraying from the fire truck after the parade at the train depot.

No registration is required to take part in the parade: all golf carts, bikes, roller skates, pedestrians and other non-powered wheeled devices are welcome to participate and decorate in red, white and blue. Anyone looking to take part in the parade is asked to show up at the train depot at 9:45 a.m.

The parade route will start at the depot then travel south onto Dickerson St., left onto Fremont St., right onto Wright St., right onto Satchwell St., right onto Dickerson St., right onto Fremont St., left onto Wright St. and finally left onto Courthouse Avenue. The path forms a figure-eight.
