Suspect in murder of missing Delco woman charged with murdering an unborn child

DELCO, N.C. (WECT) – Authorities have updated charges for one of the suspects connected to the death of Shanna Perry, who disappeared in April 2024.

According to an arrest warrant, Lance Sandlin is now charged with murder of an unborn child. The document states Perry was pregnant at the time she was murdered.

Sandlin is charged in connection with murdering Perry in Columbus County. His girlfriend, Lori Flowers, and his ex-wife, Emily Sandlin, are charged in connection with the murder and remain in custody.

Flowers is charged with:

  • Accessory after the fact
  • Murder
  • Conceal/fail to report death 

Emily is charged with:

  • Communicating Threats
  • Accessory before the fact
  • Murder
  • Concealment of death 

The new charge was filed on May 8. Authorities still have not found Perry’s body.

Sandlin is being held under a $2M secured bond.
