CHARLOTTE — A frustrating year for Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is now being capped by an injury that kept him off the practice field.
Anderson was out of practice Wednesday because of a quad issue.
He played Sunday against the Saints, but this hasn’t been a year to remember for him.
After setting career-highs with 95 catches for 1,096 yards last year, Anderson’s numbers have fallen off sharply as part of the team’s overall offensive malaise. He has 46 catches for 469 yards and four touchdowns this year.
The Panthers were also missing four other players from the final Wednesday practice of the regular season.
Henderson was dressed for last week’s game but didn’t play, as the knee was enough of an issue to keep him up only as an emergency option.
