Chanelle Smith-Walker/Carolina Panthers

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers are going younger at wide receiver.

The team released veteran wideout David Moore Wednesday.

Signed in free agency from Seattle, Moore fell down the depth chart with the emergence of rookie Terrace Marshall Jr. this offseason.

The Panthers still have Brandon Zylstra and Shi Smith also behind starters DJ Moore and Robby Anderson, though Smith is expected to miss two or three weeks with a shoulder injury.
