CHARLOTTE — The Panthers are going to give Christian McCaffrey at least another week to get himself right.
The star running back is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Eagles.
He took part in three practices last week, all on a limited basis, but was listed as doubtful on the injury report. He’s been out since suffering a hamstring strain during the Sept. 23 game at Houston.
The Panthers were also without two other starters, as linebacker Shaq Thompson and left tackle Cameron Erving were inactive.
Also inactive were wide receiver Shi Smith, defensive tackle Phil Hoskins, cornerback Rashaan Melvin and defensive end Darryl Johnson.
