WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Parents of students at Blair Elementary were notified Wednesday evening that a student tested positive for COVID-19.
When WECT reached out to the public information officer for New Hanover County Schools, however, the spokesperson said there are three confirmed cases.
The spokesperson did not say if the positive cases were students or staff.
The email sent from NHC Schools to Blair parents said the student who tested positive was last in the building on October 22, and that contact tracing had been done to identify which students and staff had come in contact with the infected student. The email went on to say those students and staff members had been contacted. The email did not address the other two positive cases at Blair.
