WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – As communities prepare for the Fourth of July, many residents were not expecting a light show a day early.
Just before dawn on July 3, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida, illuminating the sky for many across the East Coast.
“This is the 16th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched SES-22, ispace’s HAKUTO-R MISSION 1, Amazonas-6, CRS-27, Bandwagon-1, and 10 Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean,” SpaceX states on its website.
