SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry routes were suspended Thursday morning, Aug. 8, due to weather conditions, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

The ferry service announced just before 7:45 a.m. that routes have resumed.

On Wednesday, ferry service was suspending due to mechanical issues.
