CASTLE HAYNE, N.C. (WECT) – Skywatch Bird Rescue offers one place to drop off your cooked leftovers from Thanksgiving for their animals.
The rescue has many omnivores and scavengers who can eat food cooked or raw, salted/spiced.
“We do not need fruits or raw vegetable scraps/cuttings/ends, as we already get plenty of raw produce from local stores. We’re mainly looking for cooked dishes and any type of meat (raw or cooked). We cannot use bare-bones/carcasses,” the organization said on their Facebook page.
Donations can be dropped off anytime throughout the next week on their front porch at 3600 Lynn Ave.
