Sheriff’s office warns public of social media scam involving fake Taylor Swift tickets

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is alerting the public of a social media scam involving someone claiming to have Taylor Swift concert tickets.

Over 270 people have reported being scammed, with NSW and Victoria residents in Australia particularly being targeted.The scam is expected to increase leading up to Swift’s Australian concert dates in mid-February.
