BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) – The Pender County Sheriff’s Office will host an event on protecting yourself against violent threats at the Burgaw Town Center on Aug. 6 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Sheriff Alan Cutler will share details about what can be done if faced by a threat, whether that’s a home invasion, during a walk in a park or anywhere else.

Cutler will also discuss citizen’s rights to defend themselves.

The town center is located at 108 E. Wilmington St., Burgaw.
