NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man suspected of robbing the Walgreens at 5900 Carolina Beach Road at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 21.
The sheriff’s office says the man got a drink, went to the clerk and told them to open the register and walk away. The clerk complied, and the man took money from the register and exited at 8:51 p.m., according to the NHCSO.
The man suspected is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with short dark hair and a scruffy beard and was seen leaving in a silver sedan. Per the sheriff’s office, he was wearing a baseball cap, white t-shirt, dark shorts and crocs.
