HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – One of the stars of the movie The Sandlot found himself inside a Horry County jail cell.

Thomas Guiry, who played Scotty Smalls and who is the namesake of the quote “You’re killing me Smalls,” was arrested in early June, according to records.

An incident report shows officers were called to Winslow Avenue near the Burgess area for a disturbance call, and that’s when they met up with Guiry in the middle of the road.

The report states that officers were talking with Guiry when his neighbor shouted, “Really, my window’s been shattered.”

The neighbor told the officer that Guiry damaged a Jeep’s windshield by using a 35-pound dumbbell weight.

“That sucks, man, I’ll pay you back, I’m sorry, I’m gonna get you back,” Guiry said to his neighbor, according to the police report.

While the reporting officer was looking at the damage done to the windshield of the Jeep, the report states that Guiry admitted to causing it.

The neighbor also told the officer that Guiry showed a knife and approached his door while ringing the doorbell.

Guiry is charged with third-degree assault and battery and malicious injury to personal property.

He has since been released from jail after posting a $1,000 bond.
