COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The ribbon cutting for the renovated Columbus County Historic Courthouse is set for Friday, Aug. 2, at 3 p.m.
Open houses of the courthouse are set for Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 3 to 6 p.m.
The courthouse was built over 100 years ago, so leaders put almost $7 million towards restoring the historic building located at 100 Courthouse Square, Whiteville.
