WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued by CFPUA for the Willoughby Park community effective Thursday, July 11.
“Approximately 300 CFPUA customers are impacted by the advisory, which includes all of Willoughby Park Road and Honeybee Lane. Crews are on site working to repair a leak in the water distribution system. Periods of low or no pressure in the water distribution system increase the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system,” a CFPUA announcement states.
Anyone affected is asked to boil any water for one minute before consumption or to use bottled water.
