COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A portion of Old Lumberton Road in Columbus County is set to close for over a month to facilitate the replacement of a bridge, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

Per DriveNC, Old Lumberton Road will close from Peacock Road to Red Store Road so crews can demolish and replace the bridge that is between Peacock Road and Research Drive.

The closure is set to begin at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 18, and last at least through Sept. 26.
