GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A man accused of shooting at another man is being held on a $1 million bond.

The Greenville Police Department says just after 8 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and call for shots fired at Ward Street and Vance Street.

Police say Travis Pittman was seen fighting with another man and shooting at him.

The other man shot back and police say neither men were injured, but that the man’s car was hit by gunfire.

Officers found the 40-year-old Pittman at the Gas House on W. 5th Street armed with a gun.

He’s been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed gun, soliciting unlawful purchase of a firearm, going armed to the terror of the public, discharging a firearm in city limits and damage to property.

The Greenville man is being held in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $1 million secured bond.
