BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) – The Pender County Animal Shelter is offering reduced adoptions costs for dogs and cats as the shelter has reached its kennel capacity, according to the county.

“No more kennels! Over 100 animals at the shelter! Please adopt!” the shelter says on its Facebook page.

Cats are $10 to adopt and dogs are $40.

“FCFS unless prior arrangements made as this is a life or death situation (as with almost every shelter in the state). We need sponsors to cover adoption fees! Rescue groups desperately need fosters! 910-259-1484 option 7 if you have questions. Open Monday – Friday 1pm-5pm and weekends Noon-4pm!” the shelter announcement adds.

The shelter is located at 3280 New Savannah Road in Burgaw. Additional information can be found on the Pender County website.
