KURE BEACH, N.C. (WECT) – A pedestrian crossing the street was injured and a driver charged after a collision in Kure Beach.

Traffic on Fort Fisher Boulevard had stopped so the pedestrian could cross the road. That’s when a driver turned left from Davis Road and hit the pedestrian.

The 27-year-old victim suffered a foot injury and got medical assistance with the help of their family.

The driver was charged with failing to yield for a pedestrian.
