NAKINA, N.C. (WECT) – A man was hit and killed in a crash on N.C. 130 near Old King Road in Nakina at around 5:30 a.m. Thursday morning, Aug. 1.

Per the responding State Highway Patrol trooper, 31-year-old John Burrows was walking west on the road and allegedly darted in front of the car and was hit and killed.

The driver was decided to be not at fault because Burrows was not supposed to be on the road, and they will not be facing charges.
