The Panthers tied the game late in the fourth quarter after Chuba Hubbard found the end zone
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The Carolina Panthers (3-7) gave it all they could against the defending back-to-back Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs (9-1).
The Panthers tied the game late in the fourth quarter after Chuba Hubbard found the end zone for the touchdown and then Hubbard found the end zone again on the two-point play.
However, the Chiefs had plenty of time to win the game with 1:46 remaining in regulation.
Patrick Mahomes found DeAndre Hopkins on 3rd and two to pick up the first down and then Mahomes a play later would pick up 33-yeards on a scramble down the sideline.
That run from Mahomes would set up a 31-yard game winning field goal from Spencer Shrader.
The Panthers defense got to Mahomes sacking him five times led by Jadeveon Clowney who had 1.5 sacks.
Eddy Pineiro was perfect on field goals going 4-for-4 and keeping the Panthers within striking distance.
