CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Carolina Panthers legend defensive end Julius Peppers is one the newest members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame after getting the nod for the class of 2024. There is another Panther legend waiting in the wings for the class of 2025 in linebacker Luke Kuechly, who will be eligible for the first time.
Kuechly will be eligible alongside the likes of Eli Manning, Clay Matthews III, Adam Vinatieri, and Marshawn Lynch.
Will Kuechly be next? His career was cut shot, having played only eight seasons for the Panthers, but the linebacker certainly made his presence felt.
During his eight year career he was selected to five-time First-Team All-Pro, was a seven time Pro Bowler, the 2012 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year, and the 2013 AP Defensive Player of the Year and is a member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.
Kuechly, also led the NFL in tackles in 2012 and 2014.
The former Panther totaled 1,092 tackles, 690 solo, 75 tackles-for-loss, 12.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, and nine fumble recoveries.
He also helped lead the Panthers defense to Super Bowl 50.
