BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Between midnight and 6 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 24-25, some Focus Broadband customers in Brunswick County will lose access to internet, TV and telephone services, according to an announcement from the telecommunications service.
Per the announcement, crews need to perform emergency maintenance of a fiber optic cable that was damaged during construction.
Cable modem users north of Shallotte, in the areas of Town Creek, Bolivia, Prospect and Bell Swamp, as well as those in Holden Beach, Midway and Sunset Harbor will be affected. The outage also occurred early Friday morning.
“Repair crews will work as quickly as possible to make the needed repairs,” Focus Broadband states. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. For additional information, please contact the FOCUS Broadband Repair Line at 833-663-1241.”
