WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – One man is in the hospital with a critical gunshot wound, according to Wilmington Police.

Police say they responded to a Shot Spotter notification at the 400 block of S. 14th Street around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

That’s where they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. They say several neighboring buildings and vehicles also were damaged by the gunfire.

The victim was transported to Novant Regional Medical Center by EMS.

Police have not said whether or not they have arrested anyone in connection to this crime.
