NORTH TOPSAIL BEACH, N.C. (WECT) – North Topsail Beach Town Manager Alice Derian said on July 4 that the town’s water rescue and other agencies are searching for a 14-year-old boy who went missing on New River Inlet Road.
The NTB crews have wrapped for Thursday and will continue on Friday, according to Derian.
“A search of the entire NRI was completed including the surrounding ocean waters and the Coast Guard’s helicopter was deployed as well. Our Police Dept will continue checks throughout this evening,” Derian said.
She says that town crews responded to two other ocean water rescues, one of which was treated and transported while the other refused treatment.
