OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. (WECT) – At its meeting on Tuesday, June 11, the Ocean Isle Beach Board of Commissioners is set to vote on a policy for sea turtle-friendly streetlights in several locations.

Between seven and 10 lights would be installed and paid for by the Ocean Isle Beach Sea Turtle Protection Organization, and the city would be paying for the increased cost of powering the lights.
