OAK ISLAND, N.C. (WECT) – The Town of Oak Island will celebrate its 25th anniversary at the Beach Day celebration on Monday, July 1.

There will be a delayed opening of the Pier at 9 a.m. up to the first “T section”, while the rest of the pier including the King fishing areas will be closed throughout the day.

Then the pier will close at 6 p.m. and live music will start at the same time provided by Island Time Band.

Fireworks will start at around 9 p.m. after sunset.
