WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher is holding a Femme in STEM event on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Exhibitors are encouraged to join to showcase women in science with hands-on activities to engage visitors.

“Femme in Stem is also a celebration of women. Many exhibitors commented that it was so nice to see so many women peers and colleagues out for the day. Some even mentioned that they are the only woman in their department, and it was a nice reminder that other women are in STEM and we need more of them,” NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher.
