DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Officials say no injuries were reported and all employees at a Duplin County feed mill are accounted for after a grain bin explosion Monday morning.
The Rose Hill Fire Department says it was dispatched to Nash Johnson and Son’s Feed Mill outside of Rose Hill just before 11:20 a.m. Monday.
Clayton Bryant, a firefighter/engineer with the fire department, says there are five bins at the location and the middle one exploded.

Along with Rose Hill, Bryant says units from Teachey Volunteer Fire Department, Wallace Fire Department, Harrells Volunteer Fire Department, Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department, Greenevers Volunteer Fire Department and North East Volunteer Fire Department were at the scene.
Crews are working to figure out what caused the fire. Bryant says there is currently no fire and first responders are working to make sure everything is contained.
He says they do not believe a second fire will break out.
