JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Another pleasant and dry work week is ahead of us!

Starting off a little chilly on this Monday morning with temperatures in the mid 40s heading out the door. This afternoon will be nice and seasonable, with sunshine gradually returning. We will see more sunny skies through the work week with highs slowly creeping back up to the upper 60s and low 70s by Thursday. Thursday night into Friday morning our dry period is expected to come to an end.

Showers and storms will be present starting early Friday morning and last through the end of the weekend. Some rain may even linger into the start of the next work week. At this time, the probability of severe weather is a little bit of a question mark but stay with us as we bring you the first alert over the coming days.
