WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) -The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three 17-year-olds in connection to the murder of another teenager.
According to the sheriff’s office, the shooting happened at the 2200 block of Teresa Drive at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19.
“The investigation led detectives to identify and apprehend the three juvenile suspects. Evidence gathered at the scene, along with witness testimonies, played a crucial role in the swift progress of the case,” a New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office announcement states.
All three suspects are charged with first-degree murder and are being held with no bond at the Juvenile Detention Center.
They will have a secure custody hearing on Friday at 9 a.m. at the juvenile courthouse.
