WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The New Hanover Community Endowment on July 17 announced seven new Community Advisory Council members.

The members act as liaisons between the endowment and the community, advising the directors and staff on local challenges and opportunities.

In Community Development, the members are Carolyn Beatty, with StepUp Wilmington, and Jeremy Hardy, with Vigilant Hope. For Community Safety, the members are Tabitha Cox, with the Carousel Center, Jamar Jenkins, with Young Life NextGen Leaders, and Andrew Richard, with Rich North Digital. In education, the new members are September Krueger, with the Cameron Arts Museum, and Dr. Michael D. Priddy, a retired NC school superintendent.

They will be replacing the departing members: LeShonda Wallace, Yasmin Tomkinson, Brandon Cagle, Natalie English, Peter Nemmers, Dawn Ferrer and Chaz Springer.

“I can’t thank the departing members enough for helping launch the CAC,” said board chair Bill Cameron. “Their experience and insight were invaluable to our efforts to invest in the community and serve our neighbors.”
