New Hanover Co. NAACP to host Unity in the Community town hall

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The New Hanover County NAACP’s Religious Affairs Committee is inviting the community to a unity service set for Monday, Aug. 5, at 6 p.m.

The event will be held at the Warner Temple AME Zion Church at 620 Nixon Street, Wilmington.

“During this time of so much division, we need to unite. No matter your race, ethnicity, religion, orientation, or political affiliation please join us as we come together as a community. The town hall will start at 6PM. We will have prayer, singing, spoken word, and a call to action. Come and join in together. This program is hosted by Rev. Nathaniel Johnson, Religious Affairs Chairperson for the New Hanover County NAACP,” a NAACP announcement states.
