WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office arrested dance instructor 41-year-old Elissa Susan Edwards on sex crime charges on Thursday, July 18.
Per the NHCSO, the arrest followed allegations of misconduct involving students at multiple dance studios across the state and multiple studios in New Hanover County.
She is being held at the county jail on no bond, and the jail website indicates she was charged on four counties of indecent liberties with a child and four counts of statutory rape/sex offense with a defendant of at least six years old.
