ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WECT) – N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles operations (NCDMV) connection to the N.C. Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) mainframe was restored.

For the last 24 hours, the NCDMV was plagued with connection issues causing major outages. The department decided to stop processing transactions at the state’s 112 driver’s license offices until the problem was fixed.

NCDMV was able to resume processing transactions in-person, online, and at its self-service kiosks. NCDIT will continue to monitor its systems.
