ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WECT) – Connection issues have caused major problems for the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles operations (NCDMV).

For the last 24 hours, NCDMV has been dealing with sporadic connections to the N.C. Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) mainframe.

NCDMV decided to stop processing transactions at the state’s 112 driver license offices until the problem is fixed.

License plate agencies, online services, and self-service kiosks are also affected and have been experiencing outages.

NCDIT is working with NCDMV, and other affected state agencies to restore service.
