SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT)—According to the N.C. Department of Transportation, N.C. 211 will has returned to its normal traffic pattern.

Per the NCDOT, contract crews created a temporary bridge with four large pipe culverts until a permanent bridge is completed as part of the N.C. 211 Widening Project. The bridge was washed out due to damage from Potential Tropical Cyclone Eight.

Just last week, crews reopened the N.C. 211 bridge over the canal.

When it reopens traffic at N.C. 133 and N.C. 87 along with Jabberton Road will return to normal.
