RALEIGH, N.C. (WECT) – A Wrightsville Beach woman won a $150,000 Powerball prize last week.
According to lottery official, Patricia Gilley purchased her winning $3 Power Play ticket from the Scotchman located on Wrightsville Avenue in Wilmington.
“Gilley’s winning ticket matched numbers on four of the white balls and the Powerball to beat odds of 1 in 913,000, winning her $50,000,” lottery officials said in a news release. “Her prize tripled to $150,000 when the 3X multiplier was drawn.”
Gilley, who claimed her prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh, took home $106,126 after required federal and state tax withholdings.
