WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Wilmington Police have secured warrants for a person accused of shooting a man Friday night.
Lorenzo Angelo Patrick, 20, is wanted for robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.
He is accused of shooting Tavon White, 25, after the suspect met White and his girlfriend in a parking lot near the 2500 block of Confederate Drive. Patrick allegedly pulled a gun on the two, demanding them “to give up everything.” The gun went off after a fight over the firearm.
White was taken into surgery after showing up at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center ER. He’s currently in stable condition in the ICU.
