WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Wilmington Police Department announced Wednesday night that two people were arrested in connection with a murder in early October.
According to the WPD, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 4100 block of Princess Place Dr. just before 6:30 a.m. When police arrived, they found Ross Jr. suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
He was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he later died during surgery.
Durant and Davis made their first court appearance on the murder charges Wednesday afternoon, where a judge denied them bond. They were also appointed a public lawyers from the Capital Defender’s Office.
Wilmington police say the pair’s arrest were made as a result of a combined effort by the U.S. Marshals Carolina Regional Task Force, S.W.A.T. and the Mobile Field Force.
