WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting at an apartment complex off of Carolina Beach Road.
WPD confirmed two people were shot. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a man was taken to Novant Health NHRMC with life-threatening injuries.
A call came in around 10 o’clock Saturday morning about a shooting at the Shipyard at Wilmington apartments in the 700 block of Galley Lane.
Officials say this is an isolated incident and the public is not in any danger.
Names of the victims are being withheld pending family notification.
