Wilmington police investigating after pedestrian hit by vehicle on Dawson Street

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Wilmington Police Department is investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the police department said the collision happened around 2:30 p.m. on Dawson Street, between 13th and 15th streets.
The pedestrian, Liwun Simon, 42 was crossing Dawson Street when he was struck by two vehicles.
Simon was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment of what police described as serious injuries.
His condition is not known at this time.
Scene is now cleared after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of 14th Street & Dawson Street.
