WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The U.S. Marshals Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force has arrested the suspect wanted in connection with a shooting on South 12th Street in Wilmington earlier this month.
Anwar Idrissa Hall, 43, was taken into custody on Friday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and carrying a concealed weapon, a news release stated.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers were flagged down in the 1200 block of South 12th Street on Friday, Aug. 6, after a homeless man had been shot in some nearby woods. The victim was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Wilmington police announced on Tuesday that Hall was charged in the shooting.
Hall is currently in jail under a $501,000 bond.
