WHITEVILLE, N.C. (WECT) – Whiteville Police officers responded to a shooting at the 300 block of E. Walter Street Monday at 5:00 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound to his lower body.
The man was transported to Columbus Regional Health Care with injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening.
The incident is under investigation and this story will be updated as new information becomes available.
